I was born in a little village
called Chirk , in North Wales, and began my singing career in the choir
of the local chapel, some time later I joined a skiffle group, but it
was while serving with the army that I first heard the music of Hank
Williams, Hank Snow, Webb Pierce and Marty Robbins etc., the singers who
had influence on my musical style.
As a singer in my own right I have been lucky enough to visit many parts
of the world, such as Ireland, Australia, France, Germany, Spain,
Portugal and Nashville, USA, where I am proud to say I won a vocalist
contest in Gilley`s night club, on music row.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my wife Joan for all the
love and support she has given me over the years. We ran the Cliffson`s
Country Music Club in Wrexham for twenty three years, until November
2005 when I decided to retire on doctors advice after having my second
heart attack.
I`ve recorded eleven albums and five dvds, all can be obtained by mail.
